The Fastest Athlete chronicles the 2017 Reno National Air Races, the fastest sporting event on the planet.  The series follows Scott Farnsworth, Racer #38, as he tries to improve his ranking in Jet Class from the previous year, dead-last. 

Scott is the 2015 Gold Class Champion from the 2015 National Air Race Champion and the 2016 International Air Race Champion in propeller class, but he has his sights set on Jet Class, the fastest athletes in the world.

In order to reach his dreams, Scott has found a new sponsor and a new jet, but the same determination he's always had.
